Chick-fil-A Breakfast

So I have literally had this post typed up and ready to go for almost two weeks. Ahh!!!

Mmm…Chick-fil-A’s Chicken Burrito for Breakfast is delish. My Chick-fil-A is currently running a free breakfast February and sadly, the Burrito doesn’t make the list of freebies. Even so, it is worth the money to pay and get it. I first tried this burrito in April of 2010 and truly wish I would have tried it sooner. I rarely eat breakfast outside of my home and never really thought of even trying CFA for breakfast. I had seen the burrito on the menu and always said I would try it one day. So, when I finally did, I fell in love.

The Chicken Burrito is described as: “Chunks of Chick-fil-A chicken gently mixed with scrambled eggs, fire-roasted onions and peppers and a subtle blend of Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheeses – all wrapped in a soft flour tortilla.” The burrito is exactly this. The burrito comes served hot which nicely melts the cheeses. All of the flavors mix perfectly together. The burrito is served with spicy salsa, but you do not even need it. The burrito flavors stand on their own.

The chicken pieces are not too big and evenly spaced throughout the burrito. The onions and peppers have obvious grill marks on them. The eggs don’t taste fake or chewy. The cheese is always nicely melted and spread out. The tortilla is warm and has a great taste. Altogether, this burrito is great.

I have found that one burrito is not filling enough for me. But, the size of the burrito does vary a little bit depending on the Chick-fil-A location and day. It’s not a huge difference, but a difference that is noticeable. I would definitely recommend this burrito to anyone who likes Chik-fil-A. The burrito is also offered as a sausage burrito however, I have never tried this.
My overall rating on the burrito is a 9/10, losing the one point due to the high calories of the burrito. Delicious, delicious. Now, I really need to have another.

Quick side post. At my last visit to Chick-fil-A for breakfast, I also ordered a Spicy Chicken Biscuit. I ordered this purely because I had a voucher for a free sandwich. I was not really expecting to like it because I do not like the Chicken Biscuit sandwich nor the Spicy Chicken Sandwich. But, give me something for free, and I will certainly give it a shot.

The Spicy Chicken Biscuit was smaller than I was expecting but, still a good size. When I opened up the sandwich, I could smell the biscuit and chicken but didn’t smell any strong seasoning flavors. I bit into the sandwich was not overpowered by spice. The spice was there at the end but, it was not too much at all. The bun was a little bit too moist but had a great flavor. I had another bite and thought the same thing.

I would not have to get the Spicy Chicken Biscuit sandwich again, but that is purely just a personal preference thing. It is not fair for me to rate it due to the fact that I just don’t care for the spicy chicken on a biscuit for breakfast.
