The Most Amazing, Spectacular, Unbelievable, Fantastic Burger Ever
I could have gone on and on (for quite a while) with adjectives that describe this burger. For anyone who has ever had one, the feelings, I’m quite sure, are mutual. This burger is by far the best burger I have ever had and I really don’t think there is anything else that could ever compete with it. The burger is one from an establishment called Five Guys. Heard of it? I certainly hope so because if you haven’t, you are missing out on pure amazing.
Five Guys creates burgers to own in either ‘little’ or regular varieties. The little burgers have one patty and the regular have two. Now, for some reason, I always reference all burgers (whether they are cheeseburgers or not) as just burgers. Sorry but that’s just the way it is. We have 5 Five Guys locations within 30 minutes of my house and they all provide the same, great product. I only have Five Guys maybe twice a year and I cherish both of these occasions. Sometimes, I get lucky and have it 3 or 4 times a year…perfect.
Five Guys offers not only burgers, but hot dogs and grilled cheese as well. I have only ever had their burgers but, I have heard good things about their hot dogs as well. Their fries are offered in either regular or Cajun style. Five Guys offers a wide variety of toppings for your burgers all free of charge. I always order the same thing at Five Guys and normally don’t get any reaction from the workers. The last time I was at Five Guys though, I got a serious reaction. A no-way-can-you-possibly-eat-all-of-that-food-and-not-be-sick type of reaction.
My order consists of a Cheeseburger with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Ketchup, Mustard and Mayo along with a Little Cheeseburger with Lettuce, Tomato, Pickles, Ketchup, Mustard and Mayo. I don’t order fries purely for myself but rather to share with the rest of the family. This may sound like a lot of food for one person, but I normally go to Five Guys when I am hungry and ready to eat.
The burger is amazing on all levels. Let’s begin with the bun. The bun is soft, seeded, warm and has a slightly buttery taste. The bun is more than capable of holding all of the toppings of the burger as well. I really believe the buttery taste of the bun is what puts not only the bun but the entire burger, over the top. The toppings are all fresh and plentiful. The lettuce comes in large pieces that are not saggy in the least. Tomato slices are full and a lovely red color. The pickles are crinkle cut and crunchy. The ketchup, mustard and mayo add just enough to the burger for flavoring but not anything overpowering. The cheese is American and melts into the burger with ease. The burger patties are cooked to order and are flattened on the grill. Burger patties come out done with a slight char on the outside.
With all of the layers on the burger being so outstanding on their own, when they all join forces, it is enough to bow down to. The flavors are all just so perfect. The burger is the perfect size and the flavor seeps layers of juicy, beefy, salty, sweet all at once. The quality and freshness of all ingredients are really noticeable and put this burger over the top. Overall rating: 10/10
Burgers are on nearly every menu of every restaurant around. Sure, you may get a good one every now and again but they are just good. If you want to eat the best burger ever possible, simply head over to Five Guys and eat up. And, if you dare, order the same as I do and see experience the absolute B L I S S.
