Epic Fail
Epic Fail. That is what my experience at Wendy’s was on Friday night. Ugh.
So as you all know, I was very excited to get to try Wendy’s new fries. For no other reason than that they were new! I was excited. I couldn’t wait. I decided I would try them on Friday night. I was first thinking Saturday but then we rented Grown Ups on Friday and decided to eat them while enjoying the movie. I set out to get our food.
When I arrived at Wendy’s, the drive through was wrapped around the building. The new fries! Of course! That’s why its so busy. So, I parked and went inside. There was no advertising at all inside for the new fries. I thought okay, no biggie. The workers were probably too lazy to put out the signs that were comfortably sitting outside. I waited my turn in line and then placed my order.
I ordered a Large Fry, Double Stack, Crispy Chicken Sandwich, Grilled Chicken Go Wrap and a Large Diet Coke. I also placed Mommy and Taylor’s order. After I ordered, I asked the manager, are these the new fries? (I could see the fry area from the counter but couldn’t tell if they were new or not.) The manager said they ran out of new fries about an hour before my arrival. No. Way. That can’t be. It just can’t be. The manager said they got an order of half new and half old and all the new were GONE!!!
I was extremely upset and really wanted to just cancel my order. I came here because of the fries. The new fries. I normally wouldn’t just go to Wendy’s. Like I said, I like it, but I just don’t go there all too often. I kept my order because it was late and I was hungry but I left feeling sad and defeated. Wendy’s new fries defeated me. I ate all those calories for nothing.
The meal was fine. I started eating it with an upset attitude which certainly didn’t help. The fries were over salted and lacking in any other taste. The Double Stack wasn’t really very good. The wrap was good and so was the chicken sandwich. But all I really wanted were those New Fries.
